Job Description : Managing Director, Sahara Group Integrated Rigs (Locals and Expats) hashtag#Job Location: Port Harcourt hashtag#JOB SCOPE: The Managing Director will: · SERVE as the strategic and operational leader of SGIR, responsible for building the company from the ground up, managing rig operations, driving commercial growth, and establishing a resilient organizational culture. be required to have deep technical expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and a strong understanding of the Nigerian oilfield services landscape. hashtag#Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage the operations of 7 rigs, ensuring optimal uptime, safety, and performance. · Develop and implement rig maintenance schedules, crew deployment plans, and logistics coordination. · Ensure full compliance with Nigerian regulatory bodies, including NUPRC, DPR, and NCDMB. Strategic Leadership · Define and execute SGIR’s short- and long-term business strategy. · Identify and pursue new business opportunities with IOCs, NOCs, and marginal field operators. · Oversee contract bidding, negotiation, and execution for rig services. hashtag#Professional Qualifications: · Minimum of 15 years of experience in oilfield services, with at least 5 years in executive leadership. · Proven experience managing land rigs, workover rigs, and multi-rig operations. · Strong understanding of Nigerian oil & gas regulations, market dynamics, and local content policies. · Demonstrated success in startup or scale-up environments. · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field · MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
