Job Description : GeneralManager – Mining Leading Copper Processing Unit – Central Africa Experience Required: 15+ years Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mining Engineering with a valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency Key Requirements Must have proven experience in Open Cast Copper Mining only Strong leadership in managing large-scale mining operations end-to-end Expertise in safety, regulatory compliance, planning, and stakeholder engagement Responsibilities Operational Management: Supervise day-to-day operations (drilling, blasting, hauling, loading) and ensure optimal manpower/equipment utilization. Production & Planning: Achieve targeted volumes within budgets; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual mine plans; coordinate with geology and mine planning teams. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Enforce statutory safety norms, conduct regular audits, lead a safety-first culture, and manage incident investigations. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to mining laws and DGMS guidelines, maintain records for inspections and audits. Cost & Budget Control: Monitor costs, introduce cost-saving initiatives, and prepare/manage annual budgets and forecasts. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the mining team, ensuring continuous skill development. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with contractors, government authorities, and communities while aligning with internal functions like HR, logistics, and maintenance.
