Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Description : Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Africa Region (Preferred: East Africa) Reports to: Group CEO Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the financial strategy, operations, and performance of a growing multi-country business. The CFO will ensure long-term financial stability, support strategic expansion, and drive excellence across finance, treasury, risk, and compliance functions. Key Responsibilities · Strategic Finance: Lead the development and execution of the companys financial strategy, aligned with business growth and expansion goals. · Planning & Performance: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring to improve profitability and capital efficiency. · Treasury & Risk Management: Manage funding, liquidity, and financial risk exposure across multiple markets. · Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks. · Operational Excellence: Partner with business units to optimize cost structures, support manufacturing operations, and leverage ERP/BI tools for better insights. · Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Candidate Profile · Chartered Accountant (CPA/ACCA/CFA) with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred. · 20+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership or CFO capacity. · Strong background in FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
