Job Description : HEMM HEAD SENEGAL Head of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) Lead and manage the maintenance and uptime of all mine HEMM assets (dumpers, loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, ancillary equipment) Ensure maximum equipment availability, efficiency, and reliability as per organizational and statutory standards Oversee preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance Control and optimize OPEX and CAPEX costs related to equipment and maintenance Plan and execute refurbishment and timely replacement strategies for machinery fleet Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts, subassemblies, and components Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure strict compliance with legal and environmental standards Monitor equipment performance using data-driven systems and initiate continuous improvement actions Guide a team of section managers, technicians, and operators; foster skill development and high-performance culture Collaborate with equipment suppliers, service providers, and other vendors for best-in-class support Evaluate and deploy technology innovations (automation, IoT, predictive analytics) for improved maintenance outcomes Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and long-term asset sustainability
