The Group is seeking an accomplished Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its regional financial strategy, governance, and transformation agenda. This is a strategic leadership role for a results-driven finance executive with a strong background in multi-country operations, particularly within Nigeria and West Africa. The selected candidate will serve as a key business partner to the Group’s executive management, ensuring long-term financial stability, growth, and compliance across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership: Develop and drive the Group’s financial strategy and long-term business planning. Lead financial forecasting, performance analysis, and capital allocation decisions. Support the Board and Executive Management with strategic investment and funding recommendations. Financial Management & Controls: Oversee all group-level financial operations, accounting, and reporting under IFRS. Establish robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and audit processes. Ensure timely and accurate consolidated reporting across multiple subsidiaries. Treasury, Funding & Risk Management: Manage treasury functions, liquidity, and cash flow optimization. Oversee financial risk management, including currency exposure and credit control. Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and key stakeholders. Able to deal with banks properly and solve any problems that might occur. Operational & Performance Oversight: Drive cost optimization, profitability, and financial efficiency across divisions. Implement ERP and performance management systems to enhance financial visibility. Provide strategic financial guidance to business unit heads. Leadership & People Development: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across West African entities. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement. Represent the finance function in board meetings and strategic committees. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 7 years in West Africa (preferably Nigeria). Strong track record in FMCG, trading, or manufacturing industries. Experience managing group-level consolidation and multi-country operations. Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, or CFA (MBA preferred). In-depth knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury management, and ERP systems. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills. WEST AFRICA EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.
