Job Description : Manager - SMPP (Structure, Mechanical, Platework & Piping) Location: Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Central Africa Industry: Mining & Miscellaneous Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Manager - SMPP to lead and oversee the successful execution of construction activities on mining projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Structural steel works, Mechanical installations, Platework fabrication and installation, and Piping systems. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and enforce safety regulations, promoting a zero-incident culture - Oversee SMPP construction activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines - Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors - Manage construction teams and subcontractors - Prepare key project documents, including Manpower Estimation, Budgets, and Risk Assessments - Supervise installation and erection of structural steelwork, mechanical equipment, and process piping - Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards Qualifications & Experience: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech - Minimum 12 years of relevant construction experience, with at least 10 years in mining or heavy industrial projects - Proven expertise in SMPP works - Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC practices, and safety standards - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Greenfield or Brownfield Mining Projects - Understanding of Mining Process Flows & Equipment - Exposure to both Client and Contractor sides
