Job Description : Workshop Manager Equipment Rental Division Location: Kuwait) Experience Required: 15-20 years (35 years in a workshop leadership role) Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Industry Preference: Experience with power equipment (preferably generators), compressors, tower lights, forklifts AWPs; Prior experience with an OEM preferred ________________________________________ We are seeking a technically strong and process-driven Workshop Manager to lead the equipment maintenance and repair operations in our Equipment Rental Division in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will come with deep technical expertise in power generation and other equipment, with a background in managing workshop teams, optimizing service turnaround, and improving asset efficiency. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: · Lead and manage the equipment workshop operations, ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is handled efficiently. · Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in generators, compressors, tower lights, and forklifts. · Streamline workshop workflows to reduce equipment downtime and ensure quick turnaround. · Implement best practices for preventive and corrective maintenance. · Supervise and guide mechanics and technicians; conduct training as needed. · Monitor spare parts usage and control inventory to ensure cost-effective operations. · Introduce process improvements to increase asset life and optimize maintenance costs. · Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards. · Maintain workshop documentation and service records. · Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to prioritize urgent jobs. ________________________________________ Candidate Profile: · Education: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. · Experience: · 15 -20 years in maintenance and workshop roles within the equipment rental or OEM (generator/equipment) industry. · At least 35 years in a workshop leadership role. · Strong knowledge of diesel generators, compressors, forklifts, tower lights, and hydraulic systems. · Skills & Traits: · Expert in diagnostics and troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems). · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Process-oriented with an eye for cost optimization. · Excellent communication and technical reporting skills. ________________________________________ What We Offer: · Attractive tax-free salary and benefits · Accommodation and visa support in Kuwait · Opportunity to work with a leading equipment rental business in the region · Professional work environment focused on performance and safety
