20 yearsJob Description : CIGARETTE FACTORY AND PRODUCTION HEAD SIERA LEONE Key Responsibilities: 1. Factory & Production Management * Oversee day-to-day operations of the cigarette manufacturing line (MAC-9 Maker and HLP Packer). * Manage production planning, manpower allocation, and machine performance. * Ensure optimal machine utilization, minimal downtime, and consistent quality output. * Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of production equipment. * Lead and train production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve operational excellence. 2. Procurement & Supply Chain * Source and procure key raw materials: tobacco, filters, tipping paper, wrapping and packaging materials, adhesives, and other NTMs. * Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply. * Work closely with logistics and finance teams to manage inventory levels and procurement budgets. 3. Quality & Compliance * Ensure production meets internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. * Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO, and EHS standards. * Monitor product consistency, waste reduction, and line efficiency KPIs 4. Strategic & Technical Leadership * Support management in production forecasting and cost optimization. * Participate in factory expansion, upgrades, and capacity planning. *Provide technical input for continuous process improvement and staff training Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelors degree or higher * Minimum 10 years of experience in cigarette manufacturing ideally as a Factory Manager, Production Manager, or Line Manager. * Hands-on experience with MAC-9 or similar cigarette maker machines and HLP or equivalent packers is essential. * Proven experience in procurement of tobacco and packaging materials * Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
