Internal Audit Manager

Job Description : Internal Audit Manager of with one of the leading Company Africa Location: Uganda Experience Required: 7+ Industry: Manufacturing Ø Defining the annual, monthly and weekly/ audit plan for the group companies, assign audit duty to staff. Ø Supervise, direct, counsel, assistant auditors in executing the audit plan and review their work accuracy. Ø identify areas of risk within each business of group and prepare risk register. Ø Develop standard operating procedures of the audit function and bring in the world call practices. Ø Identify key risk and control indicators Ø Carry on investigative audits as directed by Management. Ø Evaluate and revise internal controls / operational practices / management policies/procedures from time to time. Ø Ensure all the supporting documents (other records as required by management) are maintained at branch level. Ø Reviewing / Taking confirmation of Debtors and identifying the potential risk/Bad Debts and alert the management well in advance. Ø Periodical stock taking / perpetual stock taking at all branches. Ø Analyses the operation and financial data and identify the risk, investigating fraud via a fraud risk assessment that uses fraud deterrence principles. Ø To present audit reports / MIS periodically and as per requirement of management Ø Ensure the operations are carried out as per the operating guideline set by management, identify operational risks and make recommendations to manage risks. Ø To co-ordinate with insurance service (and other authorities like lawyers..etc) providers and follow up for the claims. Ø Execute operations audit and assess company operations, process, financial, compliance and other associated risks. Ø Identify opportunities for improving business processes Ø Understanding the organizational structure and operational hierarchy of the company Ø Analyzing gaps and loopholes in existing process Ø Implementing segregation of duties, to reduce risk/error and inappropriate action Ø Any other duties assign by management.
