Mill Manager

Job Description : Mill Manager – Pulp & Paper (KwaZulu-Natal) An industry-leading manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Mill Manager with a solid background in Pulp and Paper production to lead and optimize operations at a large-scale mill in KwaZulu-Natal. This strategic role will oversee multiple production departments, manage operational managers and teams, and drive world-class standards in efficiency, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and direct the full manufacturing and operational function across designated process areas. Implement and monitor production targets, cost controls, and performance metrics in line with international best practices. Oversee CAPEX projects and asset management, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, SOX, and environmental regulations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability across departments. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align plant performance with group strategy. Minimum Requirements BSc. Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (NQF Level 8). 10+ years’ experience specifically within the Pulp and Paper Manufacturing industry (non-negotiable). Proven experience leading other managers and large multidisciplinary teams in a complex manufacturing environment. Demonstrated track record in CAPEX planning, budgeting, and operational compliance. Strong technical acumen, analytical thinking, and leadership maturity. Completion of a Management Development Programme (MDP) or Executive Development Programme (EDP) will be advantageous. Location: KwaZulu-Natal Remuneration: Highly competitive package, negotiable based on experience.
