Job Description : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Location: Tanzania Salary: $2,000 $3,000 per month (commensurate with experience) Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership · Define and execute strategic plans to enhance productivity, profitability, and market reach · Drive innovation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across divisions · Analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities and improve competitiveness Operational & Technical Oversight · Supervise end-to-end manufacturing for cement bags, raffia bags, jumbo bags, flexible packaging, garments, and reusable sanitary pads · Ensure compliance with production standards, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks · Manage production planning, resource allocation, and scheduling to ensure timely delivery Efficiency, Quality & Cost Management · Implement process optimization and waste reduction strategies · Enforce strict quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards · Monitor budgets, control expenses, and enhance profitability Team Development & Performance Management · Lead and mentor a cross-functional team including production, quality, engineering, sales, and procurement · Set KPIs, track team performance, and provide actionable feedback for improvement · Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous professional development Stakeholder & Financial Management · Collaborate with internal departments and board members to align business objectives · Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders · Prepare timely financial reports and performance analyses for the Board Compliance & Risk Management · Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and safety regulations · Manage internal audits and support external compliance procedures · Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks Qualifications & Skills: · Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering; additional certification in Business Management or Operations is a plus · 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing with exposure to cement/raffia bags or similar verticals · Proven expertise in production processes, budgeting, financial planning, and supply chain optimization · Knowledge of European and advanced machinery is desirable · Experience in African manufacturing environments is highly preferred · Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building capabilities · Excellent communication skills; fluency in Swahili is a major advantage · Familiarity with regulatory standards, quality systems, and best manufacturing practices Role: Corporate Planning
