The group has recently established a state-of-the-art, fully integrated starch and glucose facility , a milestone project designed to reduce import dependence and enhance local value addition. Using advanced technology, the plant converts maize into glucose, starch, and by-products for FMCG, Food & Beverage, Brewing, Pharmaceuticals, and Animal Feed industries, positioning the company as a leading regional supplier across Sub-Saharan Africa. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented B2B Sales Head to lead business development and sales operations across the Sub-Saharan region for this rapidly growing enterprise in the food ingredients and starch derivatives sector. The role involves driving regional growth, managing key customer relationships, and developing strategies to expand market share among B2B clients in FMCG, Food & Beverage, and Feed industries. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market growth targets across Sub-Saharan Africa. - Identify new business opportunities in industrial glucose, starch, sweeteners, and animal feed by-products. - Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and industrial partners. - Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and credit management in line with company policies. - Collaborate with production, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure seamless order execution and customer satisfaction. - Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory changes to provide insights for strategic decisions. - Prepare periodic sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review. - Drive brand visibility through participation in regional trade fairs, industry conferences, and networking events. - Mentor and guide regional sales teams to enhance performance and market penetration. Key Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Chemical Engineering; MBA preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or business development within industrial starch, glucose, sweeteners, or related food ingredient sectors. - Proven experience in managing multi-country sales operations across Sub-Saharan Africa. - Strong B2B selling background with exposure to FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Feed industries. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. - Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
