Job Description : Logistics Manager, GCC & Africa, Pulses ???? Location: Dubai, UAE ???? Job Purpose Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing logistics operations to ensure efficient movement, storage, and distribution of commodities (Raw material & Finished Goods) for the Pulses vertical. Manage cross-border trade execution across continents, including shipping documentation and contract execution within the GCC region. Oversee logistics from raw material import to final shipment from GCC & Africa processing plants, ensuring compliance with regulations. ???? Job Summary Logistics Planning & Execution • Develop and implement logistics strategies supporting supply chain objectives • Manage inbound and outbound shipments for timely, cost-effective delivery • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and warehouses for smooth cargo flow Transportation & Distribution • Negotiate and manage freight forwarder and transporter contracts • Optimize fleet performance, routes, and schedules to cut costs & delays • Oversee customs clearance and compliance with import/export laws Warehouse & Inventory Management • Supervise warehouse activities: receiving, storing, and dispatching goods • Conduct regular stock checks and audits for accurate inventory • Implement best practices in storage, packaging, and handling Cost Optimization & Process Improvement • Analyze logistics costs and identify savings opportunities • Introduce automation and tech to boost operational efficiency • Develop KPIs and dashboards for performance monitoring Compliance & Documentation • Ensure logistics activities meet legal, safety, and environmental standards • Maintain accurate shipping, customs, and inventory records • Keep updated on trade laws, regulations, and market dynamics Team Leadership & Coordination • Lead and train the logistics team to meet performance goals • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and production to align supply chain • Conduct performance reviews and provide development feedback ???? Job Requirements • ???? Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field • ???? 10+ years in logistics/supply chain, including 3+ years in managerial roles • ???? Proven experience managing logistics across GCC, Africa, and international regions • ???? Expertise in bulk shipment handling • ???? Strong knowledge of commerce, logistics regulations, freight, and cost structures • ???? Proficiency in ERP and logistics management software • ???? Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills • ???? Analytical mindset for data-driven decision making • ???? Leadership skills focused on team motivation and growth
