Job Description : SCM WEST AFRICA This is for FMCG co with at least 10 years experience Key Responsibilities 1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies aligned with business goals. Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock. Analyze market trends and customer demand patterns to enhance planning accuracy. 2. Procurement & Vendor Management Manage sourcing activities and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely replenishment of stock. 3. Inventory & Warehouse Management Oversee inventory control, stock rotation, and warehouse management processes. Implement best practices to reduce shrinkage, pilferage, and obsolescence. Ensure accurate stock audits and maintain optimal inventory health. 4. Logistics & Distribution Manage end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, delivery schedules, and route optimization. Ensure timely and efficient distribution to distributors, retailers, and other channels. Coordinate with logistics partners and monitor KPIs for cost and service performance. 5. Operational Excellence Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize technology and ERP systems for accurate reporting and operational visibility. Ensure adherence to compliance, safety standards, and company policies. 6. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead, train, and mentor supply chain teams across procurement, warehouse, and logistics. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations for smooth coordination. Drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and performance excellence.
