Job Description : MINING PROJECT DIRECTOR GUINEA leading international mining player, firmly established in Guinea and committed to an ambitious development program. Job Description Reporting to the General Management, the position involves managing the entire portfolio of strategic projects related to the growth of the mining site. Key responsibilities include: Manage the mine's expansion by overseeing engineering, construction and commissioning to ensure capacity ramp-up. Lead the alumina refinery project from the study phase to operational delivery, ensuring technical compliance and performance. Oversee exploration programs and their integration into the site's strategic roadmap. Coordinate internal teams and EPC/EPCM contractors to ensure adherence to deadlines, cost control and HSE compliance. Structuring project governance, securing critical milestones and managing contractual and financial risks. Represent the company to local authorities, industrial partners and headquarters, ensuring reliable and strategic reporting. The Successful Applicant You are an engineer with at least 10 years of experience in the mining industry and in managing large-scale CAPEX projects. You have already contributed to mining expansion projects or the establishment of processing units, ideally in Africa or remote environments. You are skilled at leading multicultural teams, managing international contractors, and maintaining high technical and HSE standards. Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Guinea, whether professional or personal, is an asset.
