20 yearsJob Description : Group Engineering & Technical Manager (Mining / Technical Services / Multi-Site Support) – West Africa Provide group-level engineering and technical support across multi-site mining operations. Review underground and open-pit mine plans (STP, MTP, LOM) for sequencing logic, feasibility, and production rate realism. Analyse production performance, including cycle times, drilling accuracy, blast QA/QC, dilution, and overbreak trends. Develop, implement, and maintain group engineering standards, SOPs, QA/QC checklists, and reporting templates. Conduct technical audits across sites covering mine planning, drill & blast, ground support, and ventilation interfaces. Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic equipment, process, or productivity bottlenecks. Support maintenance teams through asset reliability and utilisation analysis, including MTBF and MTTR improvement initiatives. Provide technical input into tenders, including fleet sizing, production rates, mining methods, and risk registers. Coach, mentor, and support the development and localisation of site-based engineering teams. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing technical downtime and improving plan compliance. Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological, or Mechanical Engineering. 10 years’ experience in mining engineering or technical services roles. Strong underground mining exposure essential; open-pit experience advantageous Experience reviewing mine plans using Deswik, Surpac, or Vulcan. Basic knowledge of ventilation software (e.g., Ventsim). Exposure to CMMS systems and operational dashboards (Power BI or similar) Proven multi-site mining support experience, preferably within West Africa or similar emerging markets. Solid understanding of mine planning, drill and blast, ground support, and ventilation interfaces. Experience conducting technical audits and implementing corrective action plans. Strong analytical, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills. Multi-country exposure across ECOWAS Travel requirement: approximately 30–50% Competitive remuneration package
