Job Description : GM EAST AFRICA The General Manager (GM) will oversee strategy, operations, and performance of Sim Packaging Solutions, ensuring effective policies, procedures, and controls for maximizing output, quality, and profitability The GM will develop, cascade, and execute business strategies in line with Board and shareholder expectations, preparing annual operating plans with clear timelines, budgets, and resources They will monitor implementation, report material deviations to the Board, and drive overall business growth through production improvements, R&D, quality control, and exploration of new market opportunities The GM will ensure effective inventory management, optimal utilization of raw materials and finished goods, and implementation of business systems such as SAP or EPMS to enhance operational efficiency and ROI They will foster a corporate culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance, developing the right talent in appropriate roles and promoting leadership by example Additionally, the GM will oversee risk and compliance management, ensuring adherence to regulatory, financial, legal, and occupational health & safety requirements They will assess and manage operational, financial, market, and staff-related risks while encouraging integrity and customer focus across the organization Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field; MBA preferred Mandatory professional certification in CGMP Minimum 10 years experience in Plastics Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in managerial roles Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage Strong leadership, strategic planning, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are required KEYWORDS : - Business Strategy , Operations Management , Manufacturing Oversight , Quality Control / CGMP, ERP Systems (SAP), Risk & Compliance Management, Leadership & People Development, Business Growth & Market Expansion , Inventory Management , Process Improvement
