Job Description : VP UAE Role Title: Vice President/CEO - Consumer & Agri Value Chain Location: Dubai, UAE Travel: 12–15 days per month across Africa Reporting To: Group Chief Executive ROLE PURPOSE The Vice President will lead the strategy, operational scale-up, and commercial performance of the company’s consumer foods and agri-value chain portfolio across African markets. The role spans responsibility for raw material sourcing, processing operations, manufacturing efficiency, route-to-market execution, and brand-led commercial growth. The leader will also drive business transformation, expand category lines, and shape the next phase of regional expansion. This is a position for a hands-on operator who thrives in emerging markets and can convert on-ground realities into scalable business systems. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Business Strategy & Expansion Build a multi-year business expansion blueprint for new product lines, new markets, and capacity enhancement Drive regional P&L delivery and lead the transition from operational stability to scalable, profitable growth Identify new investment opportunities in food categories, nutrition solutions, and consumer staples Oversee feasibility assessments and commissioning of new manufacturing or processing sites 2. Supply Chain & Operational Leadership Lead crop aggregation programs and primary processing partnerships across several African agricultural belts Oversee manufacturing excellence across multiple facilities, ensuring quality, safety, and cost competitiveness Improve end-to-end supply chain reliability, including inbound raw materials, production planning, and outbound logistics Standardize operating procedures to create replicable models for new facilities and countries 3. Commercial & Market Development Strengthen the company’s presence across consumer channels, institutional buyers, and regional distributors Build consumer-facing brands for staples, packaged foods, and essential goods Develop pricing models, category strategies, and channel programs suited for diverse African markets Promote data-driven decision-making, digital selling tools, and modern trade partnerships 4. Organization Development & Systems Integration Mentor and guide country business heads and cross-functional leadership teams Collaborate closely with centralized functions (finance, IT, HR, procurement, supply chain office) Lead the design and deployment of ERP, digital manufacturing systems, and governance frameworks Ensure strong performance dashboards, KPIs, and transparent reporting across all markets PROFILE & EXPERIENCE Professional Background 18–25 years of experience in FMCG, consumer foods, agribusiness, ingredients, or related processing industries Demonstrated P&L ownership of a similar size organization and leadership of multi-country operations is a must African market exposure is essential and non negotiable Broad understanding of sourcing ecosystems, processing industries, manufacturing, distribution channels, and brand-building Proven track record scaling complex, multi-category organizations Leadership Traits Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and able to build businesses in frontier environments Strong commercial instincts with the ability to balance operational detail and long-term strategy High resilience, adaptability, and comfort working in rapidly evolving, high-growth contexts Strong people leader who can develop talent across diverse cultural settings Education MBA/PGDM preferred Technical or engineering qualification is beneficial SUCCESS INDICATORS Strong revenue and margin expansion over the next 3–5 years Seamless commissioning and stabilization of new facilities or market entries Strengthened regional brands and improved market penetration Fully digitized and integrated manufacturing and supply chain systems A scalable, repeatable model for future market and category growth The organization is a diversified consumer goods and agribusiness enterprise headquartered in Dubai, operating across multiple high-growth African markets.
