Job Description : Head Manufacturing Job Location : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Qualification : Graduate Engineer with MBA (Operations) preferable Experience : 20 to 25 years experience in Carton box manufacturing Age : Below 50 years Job Description : As head of manufacturing for a carton box manufacturing plant is responsible for the overall operations of the plant, including production, quality control, and maintenance. Some of their responsibilities include: ? Production ? Planning and executing production to meet goals and minimize waste ? Quality control ? Troubleshooting production problems and implementing quality improvement programs ? Maintenance ? Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the plant and equipment are well-maintained ? Resource planning ? Ensuring the right amount of raw materials are available and coordinating with suppliers ? Customer complaints ? Handling customer complaints and working with the technical team to solve problems Other skills that may be useful for a head of manufacturing for a carton box manufacturing plant include: ? Experience in the paper and packaging industry ? Knowledge of manufacturing plants for corrugated sheets and boxes ? Knowledge of accounts, filing returns, and purchasing ? Excellent communication and negotiation skills ? Excellent leadership qualities ? Ability to work in a challenging environment ? Knowledge of safety and quality standards ?
