Sales Manager

Job Description : SALES MANAGER UAE FOR CONSUMER GOODS one of the foremost FMCG specialists in the UAE for the distribution and marketing of consumer goods, both food and non-food. They currently serve over 6000 clients with around 3000 SKUs from over 40 multi-national premium brands. They also operate a number of retail stores. For their Consumer Goods Division They are currently looking to hire a Sales Manager (Consumer Division) who has managed Sales + Trade marketing/Brand Marketing in an MNC or in a large distribution set-up. They need someone with 15-20 yrs of Experience who will be the Head of consumer business. Skills Required: · Experience Required 15-20 years · The ideal candidate should have a career start in a MNC with gradual shift to Distributor side of business · UAE Experience and Driving License is mandatory Sales Management · Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. · Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. · Establishing and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand. · Leading consumer business in UAE in terms of sales planning, execution and review. · Setting up of systems and processes for Sales planning and review. · Achieve volume and value targets on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis. In doing so, effectively translate division’s goals into measurable and actionable goals for team members with milestones in place. · Develop and implement effective quarter plans in conjunction with various principals with high degree of detail to translate yearly sales and market share objectives into achievable and measurable milestones. · To appoint sales structure & team as per Sales & Distribution blueprint. · To assign sales & distribution targets to the team to seek maximum market potential and to achieve the objectives set for the area. · Ensure proper availability, visibility & freshness of products at the outlets through the S&D team. · Ensure regular tracking of performance through daily, weekly and monthly sales reports. Need to track both quantitative and qualitative information. · To provide leadership, motivation and control to achieve the sales goals. · To evaluate & review the performance of the Sales Team and develop them with appropriate training. Management · Effectively manage the channel partners – Modern Trade and Traditional Trade. · To work closely with key accounts and large chains in terms of shelf space, trade promotions, listing, special deals, etc · To build strong relationship with wholesalers to ensure adequate depth of consumer products in wholesale channel. · To effectively control operations to service traditional trade and ensure nil stock out situations. Also ensure proper visibility and freshness of products in traditional trade by monitoring and incentivizing sales team. · To ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods by maintaining a perfect coordination between Sales and Logistics functions. · To ensure that credit policies of the company are implemented and closely monitor the customers’ outstanding accounts, if any. · Review performance with key accounts on a quarterly basis, provide feedback to management and take corrective action. · Involved in negotiating annual BDAs with key accounts. Activation & Sales promotions · Contribute to the planning and effectively implement the market activation programs, trade & consumer promotions, merchandising and advertising (including POP & POS) programs as specified. · Capture and analyze data on continuous basis to gauge the effectiveness of key activities and promotions through a pre agreed control mechanism. · Track competitor activities, pricing, trends and other developments; and suggest activities to counter the same. Business Processes & Systems · Work closely with the Trade Marketing/Brand Team, supply chain, IT and finance functions to create robust processes & systems that link the principal with the distribution company (BME). · Put in place a strong MIS that communicates the critical information for use. Be the custodian of monthly and quarterly spends budget. Ensure that budget is completely deployed as intended and monitored closely.
