Job Description : DEPUTY OPERATIONS HEAD NIGERIA FOR INTEGRATED STEEL PLANT Job description Key Responsibilities Assist the Operations Head in managing overall plant operations with focus on DRI and Pellet Plant units. Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve output, quality, and cost targets. Ensure smooth operation of DRI kilns, pelletizing units, material handling, utilities, and associated processes. Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental norms; promote a strong safety culture across operations. Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams including shift in-charges, engineers, and supervisors. Coordinate with maintenance, quality, logistics, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure uninterrupted operations. Support commissioning, stabilization, and ramp-up of new plants or expansions. Prepare and review MIS reports, production plans, budgets, and forecasts for management review. AFRICAN INDUSTRIES
