Job Description : Plant Head - Rebar and Section Mill Location: Dubai & Abu Dhabi Department: Operations Reports To: Director of Operations Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and driven Plant Head - Rebar and Section Mill to manage the production and operations of our rebar and section mill. The role involves ensuring high-quality output, optimizing plant processes, and achieving operational and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Management: o Lead operations for rebar and section mill production, including rolling, finishing, and packaging processes. o Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and specifications. 2. Equipment Maintenance: o Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery to ensure minimal downtime. o Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement an effective maintenance program. 3. Quality Assurance: o Establish and enforce quality control systems to meet industry standards and customer requirements. o Analyze production data to address quality issues and implement corrective measures. 4. Cost and Resource Optimization: o Manage production costs effectively while ensuring optimal utilization of resources. o Drive energy-efficient practices to reduce operational costs. 5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): o Maintain compliance with HSE standards and promote a safe working environment. o Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for staff. 6. Leadership: o Supervise and develop a skilled workforce to ensure smooth plant operations. o Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: · Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or a related field. · 10+ years of experience in the steel industry, particularly in rebar and section mill operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role. · Expertise in rolling mill processes and equipment. · Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and achieving operational excellence. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
