Job Description : CFO AUSTRALIA An internationally recognised, founder-led luxury fashion house is seeking a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. With strong global momentum across wholesale, DTC and international markets, this role will be pivotal in shaping the next phase of structured, scalable growth. The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the Founder and Board, balancing creative ambition with financial discipline, while building best-in-class financial frameworks suited to a modern luxury business. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership Act as a trusted advisor to the Founder and executive team, translating creative vision into commercially viable growth strategies Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting and scenario modelling to support global expansion Partner with the Board on capital structure, investment strategy and governance Financial Management & Controls Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, treasury and statutory reporting Build robust financial controls and reporting frameworks appropriate for a high-growth luxury brand Ensure compliance across local and international jurisdictions Commercial & Operational Finance Drive margin optimisation across wholesale, DTC and international distribution channels Oversee pricing architecture, cost of goods, supply chain finance and inventory strategy Partner closely with production, merchandising and operations teams to support profitability without compromising brand integrity Growth & Expansion Lead financial planning for international market expansion, retail openings and new channels Assess and manage financial risk associated with global trade, FX exposure and supply chain complexity Support strategic partnerships and potential M&A or investment discussions as required People & Infrastructure Build and lead a high-performing finance team aligned with the culture of a creative, founder-led business Implement scalable systems, processes and tools to support growth Champion financial literacy across the broader leadership team The ideal candidate will bring proven experience as a CFO or Financial Director within luxury fashion, premium consumer brands or creative-led businesses, with strong exposure to international markets and both wholesale and direct-to-consumer models. Commercially sharp yet highly collaborative, they will be culturally attuned to creative environments and comfortable operating within founder-led organisations where structures continue to evolve. A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, this individual will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance financial discipline with creative ambition.
