SECURITY MANAGER

Job Description : SECURITY MANAGER NIGERIA 10-15 years experience The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the companys plantations, personnel, and assets. The role involves strategic security planning, leadership of security teams, and active liaison with government security agencies and host communities. Candidates with a strong military background are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Ensure the overall security of company plantations, personnel, and physical assets Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide security policies and procedures Lead, train, and manage the security team to maintain a high level of preparedness and discipline Conduct security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Liaise closely with Nigerian security agencies, including the Police and Army, to ensure rapid response and coordinated security efforts Maintain strong relationships with host community leaders and stakeholders to promote cooperation and prevent security threats Manage incidents, investigations, and emergency response situations Prepare regular security reports and provide recommendations to management Ensure compliance with applicable laws and security regulations Qualifications & Experience Retired or serving military personnel with rank of Major or Lieutenant Colonel Minimum age: 40 years and above Strong operational security and leadership experience Proven experience in drafting and implementing security policies Experience working with government security agencies Community engagement and conflict management experience Key Skills & Competencies Strategic thinking and risk management Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to operate in high-risk and remote environments Strong integrity, discipline, and professionalism Preferred Background Army background preferred Prior experience in plantation, agriculture, oil & gas, or large-scale operations is an advantage
