PRODUCTION MANAGER

Job Description : PRODUCTION MANAGER NIGERIA FOR SOAP 10+ years experience Experience in a modern toilet/laundry soap plant; at least 3-4 years in a production manager/section head role Strong exposure to bar soap manufacturing from multiple oils/fats (palm, palm kernel, coconut, Shea butter etc), including saponification, drying, finishing and packing Degree/Diploma in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Production Engineering or equivalent; candidates from large FMCG/soap & detergent companies preferred Hands-on, shop-floor oriented production leader willing to be based in Nigeria on single-status assignment Good English communication; ability to work in multicultural teams Experience leading shop-floor teams (operators and contract workers) and working with SOPs, KPIs and safety systems Plan and execute daily soap production to meet volume, quality and cost targets Manage full process: oil/fat handling, saponification (kettle or continuous), drying, finishing line (amalgamator, mills, plodders), cutting and packing Ensure product quality (TFM, moisture, free alkali, appearance, perfume retention) and compliance with company and regulatory standards Coordinate with maintenance to minimise breakdowns and improve line efficiency Drive process improvements, yield optimisation and reduction of waste/rework Lead, train and motivate production teams and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards Develop soap formulations based on market feedback and available fats & Oils. UG: Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Food Technology, Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor of Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) in Production and Industrial Engineering, Chemical, Paint and Oil Technology PG: MS/M.Sc(Science) in Food Technology, PG Diploma in Chemical, M.Tech in Production/Industrial, Chemical, Paint/Oil
