Job Description : Plant Head – Automotive A leading diversified business group in the Middle East is seeking an accomplished Plant Head to lead the end-to-end setup and operations of an Automotive CKD manufacturing facility. This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, offering significant influence in shaping manufacturing, operations, and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, setup, commissioning, and operational management of greenfield and/or brownfield Automotive CKD plants. Conduct technical and commercial feasibility studies and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Develop comprehensive documentation covering concept design, plant layout, production planning, startup strategy, and operational frameworks. Manage engagement with OEM principals and technology partners, including negotiation and finalization of technology transfer agreements. Design and optimize manufacturing processes, prepare detailed process sheets, and implement best-in-class production practices. Lead machine and equipment selection, identify capable suppliers, and manage techno-commercial evaluations and negotiations. Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and business collaboration opportunities. Liaise with relevant government bodies and regulatory authorities to secure approvals, licenses, and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and standards. Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, capability building, and workforce deployment. Establish and manage plant KPIs, cost controls, quality standards, and operational efficiency metrics. Candidate Profile Automotive professional with approximately 20 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or technical leadership roles. Proven track record in setting up and operating CKD automotive plants, including greenfield and/or brownfield projects. Experience working with large automotive manufacturers or OEM environments. Strong exposure to technology transfer, supplier development, and cross-functional leadership. Regional or international project experience will be considered a strong advantage. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership capabilities. Qualifications Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Automotive / Industrial or similar discipline). A management qualification (MBA or equivalent) will be an added advantage. Engagement Type Engagement can be project-based or long-term, depending on mutual alignment and business requirements.
