Production Manager

Job Description : FACTORY PRODUCTION MANAGER NIGERIA 15-20 years experience 1. Scheduling the production volumes based on monthly plan efficiently to meet weekly despatch plans and overall monthly plan while balancing Key Accounts / General Trade and Exports. 2. Monitoring and controlling conversion cost with increased focus on labor which is currently the greatest contributor. 3. Monitoring all Production KPI’s and developing action plans and executing them to deliver the targets. 4. Ensuring that a Monthly review is conducted to have understanding of the cost / delivery / as per AOP and necessary course correction can be taken in case of major deviation. 5. Organizing repair and routine maintenance of equipment to have better uptime / efficiency. 6. Ensuring that SOP are maintained and followed in each production and packing operation. 7. Ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices to have minimum accidents and work related hazards. 8. Imparting training and refresher training to all employees. 9. Ensuring the product and packaging quality of all the products produced. 10. Communicating the customer /consumer complaints to all stake holders and performing RCA for each complaint to arrive at preventive and corrective actions. 11. Monitoring the packing material consumption and losses and developing action plans for reducing the losses. 12. Ensuring the house keeping of all production and packing areas to have better hygiene conditions. 13. Ensuring that all production records / files are updated and data analysis done for improving machine performance / reducing downtime. 14. Ensuring multi-skilling of key employees to have flexibility in operation and minimize overtime. 15. Coordinating with NPD and quality team for developing new products /packaging for more business opportunities. 16. Ensuring that daily production review is done at shop floor level with focus on previous day’s downtime, quality deviations, areas of improvement. 17. Ensure that monthly inventory check is conducted at WIP location and book stocks are tallied 18. Ensuring that focus is maintained on continuous improvement of all operations. 19. Ensuring that Finished Goods are handed over to shipping after all due formalities and QA clearance in time so that deliveries are met. 20. 20. Ensuring that all month end activities are performed within the due time limits to help Finance to roll over the month end smoothly.
