Job Description : PLANT MANAGER MADAGASCAR a leading flexible packaging printing facility in Madagascar, we are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its printing facility in Madagascar. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a technically strong industrial professional who combines operational excellence with commercial acumen. The group operates a modern flexible packaging printing facility in Madagascar and serves FMCG and industrial clients across the region. The Madagascar plant, established in 2020, is positioned for significant growth and market expansion, with its Headquarters based in Mauritius. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance and strategic development of the Madagascar facility, ensuring that the company’s strategic objectives are implemented locally, that operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved, and that the site operates in full compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. He/she acts as the main interface between the production site, the headquarters in Mauritius, and the Board of Directors. General Management Lead and manage all activities of the site in alignment with corporate strategy and objectives Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the facility Define, implement, and monitor annual business plans and budgets Develop and maintain an efficient organizational structure Supervise and coordinate all departments: production, sales, quality, finance, and administration Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies Commercial Management Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the site Manage and expand the customer portfolio locally and internationally Identify new business opportunities and market segments Lead the sales team and define commercial objectives Negotiate key contracts with major clients Oversee pricing policies and ensure profitability Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Quality Management and Certifications Take overall responsibility for the Quality Management System Ensure compliance with international standards and certifications Lead certification processes, audits, and improvement programs Guarantee product conformity with customer specifications Oversee quality control, traceability, and regulatory requirements Implement corrective and preventive actions Financial Management Oversee the financial performance of the site Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts Monitor key financial indicators Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Control expenses and optimize cost structures Supervise accounting and administrative functions Contribute to investment and CAPEX planning Operational Performance Ensure production efficiency and on-time delivery Optimize resources and workflows Implement and monitor KPIs Drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality Ensure proper maintenance and use of equipment Human Resources & Leadership Recruit, develop, and manage personnel Build strong and motivated teams Define objectives and evaluate performance Promote training and skills development Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Industrial Management Minimum 8 – 10 years of senior industrial management experience with proven experience in the flexible packaging printing industry (flexographic and/or gravure) Strong technical understanding of film selection and structures Experience combining operational leadership with commercial responsibility Strong financial and business acumen Fluency in English is a must, and French is strongly preferred.
