OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR POLAND Open to International candidates global manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and further develop an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on efficiency, automation, quality, and sustainability. The Operations Director will have full responsibility for all operational functions at the production site, ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and the achievement of agreed financial and operational targets. As a member of the European Leadership Team, this role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Operations, the Operations Director will be accountable for budget delivery (OPEX and CAPEX), operational excellence, and the execution of the company’s strategy, values, and performance standards. Lead and supervise all daily operations to ensure a safe working environment and uninterrupted factory operations Oversee manufacturing, warehousing, engineering and maintenance, internal customer service, Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, quality and product testing, as well as finance, controlling, HR, and payroll Drive the execution of the company’s strategy, mission, and corporate values across the organization Lead key initiatives focused on operational excellence, digitalization, automation, and delivery of budgeted OPEX and CAPEX targets Identify efficiency gaps and opportunities for further process optimization, performance improvement, and digital transformation Collaborate closely with business partners and European management to strengthen relationships, manage expectations, and resolve operational issues Benchmark performance and best practices with other group manufacturing sites to leverage efficiency gains and automation initiatives Develop leaders and employees through coaching, teamwork, and motivation, fostering a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset Monitor market trends and industry innovations, recommend improvements, and support implementation of approved solutions Optimize production footprint, capacity, and flexibility through effective shop-floor management and continuous OEE improvement Ensure full compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards (ISO, SMETA, GOTS, GRS, FSC) Minimum 18 years of experience as Operations Director, Plant Director, or in a comparable senior operational leadership role Strong background in a manufacturing environment (mandatory), with proven experience managing complex operations and multi-disciplinary teams Demonstrated leadership capability, including hands-on experience in project and change management Proven ability to build and execute operational strategy based on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles Solid track record in automation, digitalization, internal logistics optimization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives Creative, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) in English and Polish preferred Strong interpersonal and people management skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving and decision making Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and strong team orientation Strong business acumen with a global industry perspective High stress resilience and flexibility to manage changing operational demands, including seasonality and scaling operations up or down
