20 yearsJob Description : COO DRC FOR BNB GROUP COO Reporting to CEO Position Objective & Responsibilities: - Be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of systems, operations, properties & maintenance and the general operating model of the Company. - Leverage the advantages of bringing together the operational expertise and drive through more efficient ways of working. - Ensure strategic objectives shaped at Executive Management level are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress. - Ensure that business change projects are delivered in line with directions from Executive Management level. - Coordinate efforts of operational areas to ensure minimal duplication, maximum efficiency and maximize value for money. - Re-balance resources between different areas within budget. - Contribute to business unit strategy for next 2-3 years, assessing improvements and external changes. - Manage departmental budgets, sign invoices/quotes within mandate. - Escalate out-of-budget items to CEO. - Sign off capital expenditure. - Analyze process effectiveness and recommend corrective action. - Review performance against balanced scorecard. - Benchmark productivity and improve measures. Driving Business Direction: - Participate in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders. - Ensure effective operating model. - Develop COO planning. - Drive business model. - Serve on external committees. - Ensure risks are addressed. - Ensure infrastructure is maintained. - Plan and open new branches. People Management / Leadership: - Provide clear strategic directions. - Lead and coach highcaliber teams. - Monitor governance and professionalism. - Ensure effective workforce plans. - Review performance improvement effectiveness. - Ensure staff participation in surveys. Kinshasa, Congo, Central Africa Qualification: MBA Experience: At least 08 to 12 years in a similar role. - Accountability : Takes responsibility for quality and timeliness. - Communications : Communicate effectively. - Customer Experience : Promote positive stakeholder relationships. - Ethics & Integrity : Maintain professionalism. - Honesty / Integrity : Credible and truthful. - Leadership : Influence and make decisions. - Management Skills : Organize and direct oneself. - Reliability : Dependable. - Relationship Building : Build effective relationships. - Responsibility : Be accountable. - Teamwork : Promote cooperation. - Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, finance and budgeting. - Ability to build consensus among executives and workforce. - Understanding of HR and personnel management. - Experience in corporate governance. - Proven negotiation skills. - Ability to make decisions quickly. - Ability to inspire trust. - Ability to work under pressure and delegate.
