20 yearsJob Description : BUSINESS HEAD ETHIOPIA Business Head who will have full responsibility for establishing, leading, and scaling the group’s businesses in the Ethiopian market. This is a senior expat leadership role with broad authority over strategy, execution and performance. The role’s core mandate is to define and implement a winning market-entry and growth strategy, build strong commercial foundations and rapidly increase market share. The Business Head will act as the Group’s principal representative in Ethiopia and will lead all commercial functions. Strategic Direction & Market Leadership Define and execute the overall business strategy for the divisions in Ethiopia. Lead market assessment, competitive analysis, and category strategy development. Establish clear business priorities, growth roadmaps, and execution plans. Drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term market leadership. Sales, Distribution & Market Execution Design and implement robust sales and distribution models suited to the Ethiopian market. Appoint, develop and manage distributors, agents and key accounts. Ensure nationwide market coverage, strong availability, and in-store execution. Set sales targets, monitor performance and drive accountability across channels. Marketing & Brand Building Lead brand strategy, positioning, and go-to-market plans. Oversee pricing,promotions, trade marketing, and launch activities. Ensure marketing investments deliver measurable commercial returns. Business Management & P&L; Ownership Own full P&L; responsibility for all three divisions. Manage budgets,forecasts and financial performance. Drive cost efficiency while supporting growth initiatives. Ensure compliance with Group policies and local regulations. Team Leadership & Organization Building Build and lead the local organization across sales, marketing, and operations. Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing local teams. Establish clear structures, KPIs and performance management systems. Foster a strong execution-focused and ethical business culture. Stakeholder & Group Interface Act as the primary point of contact between the Ethiopian business and Group headquarters. Provide regular performance updates, market intelligence and strategic recommendations. Manage relationships with key external stakeholders,partners and authorities. Strong background in personal care product distribution categories. Demonstrated success in leading sales, distribution, and marketing functions. Prior expat assignment experience in Africa or similar markets preferred. Strong cross-cultural leadership and ability to operate with high autonomy Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field. 12–15+ years of senior FMCG leadership experience. Proven experience building or scaling businesses in emerging or frontier markets.
