Job Description : Plant Head Location: West Africa. Industry: Pharmaceuticals Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Plant Head to oversee and manage all aspects of our plant operations and administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, resource planning, compliance with regulatory requirements, and seamless coordination among departments. Operations & Administration · Oversee overall administration and operational activities of the plant from the factory location. · Ensure the plant's performance is regularly reviewed and aligned with company goals. · Monitor and control plant profitability in line with targets committed to top management. · Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity; manage contract manufacturing as per monthly rolling production plans. Team & Resource Management · Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure proper execution. · Participate in monthly rolling plans and coordinate resources like materials, manpower, and equipment. · Identify training needs and initiate employee development programs across all levels. · Maintain cordial and professional relationships with team members, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. Production & Supply Chain · Plan and ensure timely availability of raw and packing materials for production. · Ensure product delivery aligns with customer requirements in terms of quality, quantity, and packaging. · Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production departments for smooth operations. Compliance & Quality · Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national regulations. · Adhere to cGMP and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS). · Ensure effective implementation of CAPA, cleaning and sanitation protocols, and plant hygiene practices. EHS & Sustainability · Facilitate implementation of Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems. · Review EHS performance regularly and track progress on safety initiatives. · Ensure adherence to the organizations quality, health, safety, and environmental policies. Project & Capex Management · Monitor ongoing projects and ensure timely execution as per schedule. · Identify capital expenditure needs and get approvals from top management. · Ensure readiness of plant infrastructure for future growth and operational requirements. HR & Policy Implementation · Collaborate with HR for manpower planning, recruitment, and workforce development. · Drive implementation of company policies and procedures across the plant. Desired Candidate Profile: · Graduate / Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Science, or related field. · Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in plant operations and administration. · Strong leadership, planning, and people management skills. · In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and regulatory compliance. · Experience in implementing CGMP, EHS, and quality systems.
