Lead Procurement Engineer

Job Description : Lead Procurement Engineer – EPC, Oil & Gas ???? Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE ???? Industry: EPC / Oil & Gas ???? Role: Lead Procurement Engineer ???? Availability: Immediate joiners preferred Astra Engineering & Construction is expanding its Procurement team in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for an experienced Lead Procurement Engineer who can drive procurement strategy, manage critical vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for major EPC projects. ???? Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full procurement cycle for EPC projects. Review technical specifications, material requisitions, and vendor documentation. Develop procurement strategies, vendor lists, and sourcing plans. Prepare RFQs, conduct techno?commercial evaluations, and finalize purchase orders. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual conditions with suppliers. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, and Project Controls teams. Monitor vendor performance, expediting, logistics, and delivery schedules. Ensure compliance with project budgets, timelines, and procurement procedures. Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and project close?out. ???? Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or related). 12 years of procurement experience in EPC / Oil & Gas projects. Strong understanding of project materials, equipment, and technical specifications. Proven experience in vendor management, negotiation, and commercial evaluation. Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and international sourcing. ???? Skills We Value Strong leadership and decision?making abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
