Plant Manager

Job Description : Plant Manager (Automated Aluminium Sorting Plant) Location: Sango, Ogun State Industry: Environmental Consulting (Metal Recycling Plant) results-driven Plant Manager to join our client team. The Plant Manager will lead the operations of our client's newly installed Automated Aluminium Sorting Plant. The role requires a mechanically inclined professional responsible for ensuring efficient operation, equipment maintenance, and optimal utilization of automated sorting technology. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day operations of the automated aluminium sorting plant. • Manage and optimize production output, and operational efficiency. • Supervise plant personnel, including cleaners, operators, technicians, and shift supervisors. • Ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of the automated sorting machinery. • Implement and enforce HSE, quality, and operational procedures. • Coordinate with maintenance, procurement, and management teams on plant requirements. • Monitor KPIs, downtime, and performance metrics, and prepare operational reports. • Support commissioning, testing, and continuous improvement of the sorting system. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial plant operations, preferably in recycling, and manufacturing. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and automation processes. • Proven leadership and team management skills.
