Job Description : COO DRC FOR PHARMA Position Objective:The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's end-to-end operations across different departments as mentioned above. The role ensures operational excellence, compliance, cost efficiency, and scalable growth while translating the company's strategic vision into effective day-to-day execution. 1) Lead and manage overall business operations including logistics, sales operations, inventory, loyalty, warehouse and support functions. 2) Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, SOPs, and frameworks aligned with organizational goals. 3) Ensure efficient supply chain management, inventory control, cold chain compliance, and on-time product availability. 4) Oversee operational budgeting, cost optimization, and productivity improvement initiatives. 5) Drive process improvement, automation, and operational excellence across all business units. 6) Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, quality standards, safety norms, and ethical practices. 7) Monitor operational KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics; take corrective actions as required. 8) Support business expansion, new market entry, healthcare projects, and distribution network growth. 9) Collaborate with CEO and Board on strategic planning, risk management, and long-term growth initiatives. 10) Build strong leadership teams, foster a performance-driven culture, and ensure succession planning. Internal Cross Working Relations (Departmental): Sales & Marketing: Sales execution, demand planning, route-to-market efficiency, and customer service. Supply Chain & Logistics: Procurement, warehousing, distribution, cold chain, and vendor management. Finance: Budget control, cost management, working capital, and operational profitability. Regulatory Affairs & Quality: Compliance, audits, licenses, quality assurance, and documentation. HR: Manpower planning, performance management, training, and organizational development. IT: ERP, CRM, data analytics, automation, and operational reporting. Legal & Compliance: Risk mitigation, contracts, and governance frameworks. Education Qualification & Experience: MBA / PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management, or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 18 to 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations, distribution, healthcare services, or allied industries. At least 7 to 10 years in a senior leadership role (COO/VP Operations). Strong exposure to pharma distribution networks, sales operations, regulatory compliance, and healthcare operations. Proven experience in scaling operations, cost optimization, process excellence, and multi location management. Computer/ System Skills: Advance MS Excel & PPT Presentation Must speak English & Hindi. French would be added advantage.
