Job Description : Chief Operating Officer (COO) – API Division Company: Leading Pharmaceutical Organization Position: Chief Operating Officer – API Division Location: Approximately 250 km from Hyderabad Compensation: Up to ?2.00 Crore per annum (CTC) Age Criteria: Below 52 Years Language Requirement: Telugu proficiency is mandatory Role Purpose The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for driving end-to-end operational excellence of the API Division, ensuring sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and world-class manufacturing performance aligned with organizational business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead overall API manufacturing operations, including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, EHS, and Plant Administration. Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives. Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards such as USFDA, EMA, MHRA, and other international agencies. Develop and execute business and operational strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Strengthen capacity utilization, process excellence, and technology adoption. Oversee plant performance, project execution, and expansion initiatives. Build high-performance leadership teams and ensure strong people engagement. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and growth roadmap. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. Candidate Profile Proven leadership experience in API / Bulk Drug manufacturing operations. Minimum 20–25 years of experience, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles (COO / Unit Head / Business Head). Strong exposure to regulated markets and multi-plant operations. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale manufacturing units. Excellent strategic, operational, and stakeholder management skills. Telugu speaking capability is essential. Educational Qualification B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D in Chemical Engineering / Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline. MBA / Management qualification will be an added advantage.
