Group Chief Accountant

Job Description : Group Chief Accountant recruiting for a reputable company in Bahrain seeking an experienced Group Chief Accountant to lead and oversee the finance function across entities. Role Overview The role is responsible for full financial management, including IFRS reporting, Bahrain VAT (NBR) compliance, inventory accounting, cash flow management, budgeting, audit coordination, and finance team leadership. The position provides strategic financial insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities • Oversee monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements (IFRS) • Manage general ledger integrity & financial controls • Ensure full VAT compliance & tax filings with NBR • Supervise inventory accounting, COGS & stock reconciliation • Monitor cash flow, forecasts & banking relationships • Lead budgeting & financial planning processes • Oversee payroll, EOS calculations & statutory compliance • Coordinate external audits • Supervise and mentor accounting staff Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA/ACCA preferred) • 7–10 years’ experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards • Advanced ERP & Excel proficiency • Strong leadership, analytical & communication skills • Arabic is an advantage
