20 yearsJob Description : AGM-Accounts Location -Nigeria Qualification-CA Experience: 10+ Years in manufacturing industry (steel/cement/heavy engineering preferred) with SAP exposer Role Summary The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing plant-level accounting operations, financial reporting, cost control, statutory compliance, and internal financial governance. The role requires strong exposure to manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, inventory valuation, and statutory regulations applicable to heavy industries .Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting · Oversee plant accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets. · Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures within timelines. · Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial dashboards for management. · Coordinate with corporate finance for consolidation and reporting. 2. Costing & Inventory Management · Monitor product costing (BF, SMS, Rolling Mills, etc.). · Ensure accurate raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuation. · Analyze conversion costs, yield losses, and production variances. · Implement cost control measures to improve profitability. 3. Budgeting & Financial Planning · Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises. · Track budget vs. actual performance and present variance analysis. · Support cost optimization initiatives across plant operations. 4. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance · Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations. · Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and government authorities. · Ensure adherence to Companies Act and accounting standards (Ind AS/IGAAP as applicable). 5. Internal Controls & Governance · Strengthen internal financial controls across procurement, stores, and dispatch. · Implement and monitor SOPs related to finance & accounts. · Support internal audits and risk management initiatives. 6. Banking & Treasury (if applicable) · Manage plant-level banking transactions and working capital requirements. · Monitor receivables and vendor payments. 7. Team Management · Lead and mentor the plant accounts team.
