Job Description : AGM Store Location- Nigeria Qualification – B.E./B.Tech. or MBA – Materials Management / Supply Chain Experience- 12–18 Years in an integrated Steel Plant Job Purpose The incumbent will be responsible for overall store operations of an integrated steel plant, ensuring effective inventory control, material management, statutory compliance, and seamless coordination with procurement, maintenance, and production departments. The role demands strong SAP expertise, leadership capability, and exposure to large-scale industrial store management. 1. Store Operations Management · Oversee receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials (mechanical, electrical, refractory, spares, consumables, project materials). · Ensure proper material codification and standardization. · Implement FIFO/FEFO systems where applicable. · Monitor material handling equipment and warehouse infrastructure. 2. Inventory Control & Optimization · Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory. · Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical verification. · Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and initiate corrective actions. · Control inventory carrying costs and improve inventory turnover ratio. 3. SAP (MM Module) Management · Ensure accurate GRN posting, material master creation, and stock updates in SAP. · Monitor PR-to-PO-to-GRN cycle coordination with Purchase. · Generate MIS reports from SAP for inventory analysis and management review. · Lead SAP audits and ensure data accuracy & compliance. 4. Coordination & Cross Functional Support · Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Projects, and Purchase departments for material planning. · Support shutdown planning by ensuring availability of critical spares. · Work closely with finance for stock reconciliation and valuation. 5. Compliance & Audit · Ensure compliance with internal control systems and statutory requirements. · Facilitate internal, statutory, and external audits. · Maintain documentation as per ISO/Quality standards. 6. Team Leadership · Lead and develop store personnel including officers, supervisors, and storekeepers. · Implement SOPs and best warehousing practices. · Drive 5S and safety standards within store premises. Required Skill Set · Strong knowledge of steel plant operations (DRI/Pellet). · Excellent command over SAP – MM Module. · Expertise in inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse management. · Analytical mindset with strong MIS reporting skills. · Good negotiation and coordination skills. · Leadership and team management capability. · Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance.
