Immediate Joiners Preferred We are seeking an accomplished and visionary HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) Leader with 20+ years of experience to spearhead fleet operations across large-scale mining projects in Central Africa. This is a strategic leadership role for a results-driven professional who has successfully managed multi-site mining fleets, delivered exceptional equipment reliability, optimized operational costs, and championed world-class safety standards. ???? Role Overview As Associate Vice President – HEMM, you will be responsible for: • Leading and mentoring large-scale fleet operations (150–300 personnel) • Driving and sustaining >90% fleet availability across sites • Reducing downtime by 15–20% through structured reliability programs • Implementing advanced preventive & predictive maintenance frameworks • Optimizing OPEX and reducing maintenance cost per operating hour • Delivering Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) through strong safety governance • Standardizing maintenance systems, KPIs, and digital performance dashboards • Partnering closely with the VP HEMM / Business Head to achieve production and reliability targets This role demands operational excellence, strategic foresight, and hands-on leadership in high-volume mining environments. ???? Ideal Candidate Profile ? 20+ years of experience in HEMM maintenance & mining operations ? Minimum 10 years in senior leadership or multi-site fleet management roles ? Proven expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance systems ? Strong track record of cost optimization & reliability enhancement ? Experience managing large mining fleets in complex environments ? Mechanical / Automobile Engineering degree (mandatory) ? Fluent in English (French / Swahili preferred) ? International or multi-country mining exposure highly desirable
