Job Description : Mechanical Head – Sugar Industry Location: Africa Tanzania Qualification B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Experience Minimum 20 years of experience in the Sugar Industry At least 5 years at Senior Management level Role & Responsibilities Head the entire mechanical function of the sugar plant (Mill House, Boiler, Turbine, Power Plant, Utilities) Plan, manage, and execute preventive & breakdown maintenance Ensure maximum plant availability, efficiency, and cost control Lead and mentor mechanical engineering and maintenance teams Oversee annual overhauls, shutdowns, and capacity enhancement projects Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and best engineering practices Coordinate with Production, Electrical, and Process teams for smooth operations Manage spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination Support modernization, automation, and energy optimization initiatives Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of sugar plant machinery and processes Proven leadership and team management skills Strategic planning and decision-making ability Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience in large-scale plant operations Reporting To Plant Head / Director – Operations
