OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR LEEDS, UK well-established international engineering and manufacturing business in the search for an Operations Director to lead a significant operational transformation. This is not a steady-state role. The brief is clear. The business needs a leader who can bring pace, accountability and commercial focus into the operational engine of the organisation. The company designs and manufactures high-value, low-volume engineered systems for global customers. It has an excellent reputation, deep technical capability and strong international relationships. What it now needs is an Operations Director who can help drive the next phase of performance. The successful candidate will lead manufacturing, planning, supply chain, procurement, logistics and quality. The mandate is to strengthen operational discipline, improve project execution and build a more proactive, results-driven operating culture. Key priorities will include: • Driving a more commercially aligned operational model • Improving project delivery, planning and margin performance • Building stronger accountability and leadership behaviours across the function • Breaking down silo thinking and improving collaboration at senior leadership level • Raising standards, pace and operational efficiency across the business This role will suit an experienced operational leader from engineering or manufacturing, ideally within low-volume, project-based or bespoke manufacturing environments. Individuals with backgrounds in areas such as fabrication, welding, engineered products, capital equipment or complex industrial machinery are likely to be well aligned. The business is looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership, and who has the drive to challenge the status quo and deliver meaningful change. ????
