Job Description : Head of Retail Operations West Africa leading Retail Group that is on an aggressive growth trajectory in Africa. We are looking for a Head of Operations who doesn't just manage a business but transforms it. This isn’t a "maintenance" role. We need a builder. You will be responsible for the end-to-end operational excellence of our supermarket, Hypermarket chain, ensuring that world-class standards meet local market nuances. From P&L ownership to aggressive footprint expansion, you will be the engine behind our growth. What We’re Looking For: The Experience: 15–20 years in Retail/FMCG, with a deep-rooted understanding of supermarket daily operations. The P&L Mindset: You treat the business like your own. You have a proven track record of driving sales, maintaining Operational excellence, optimising margins & costs, and driving profitability. The Growth Specialist: You’ve scaled businesses before. You understand site selection, store launches, and market penetration. The Digital Edge: A strong understanding of E-commerce & Omnichannel retail is a significant plus as we integrate digital touchpoints into the physical shopping journey.
