20 yearsJob Description : HEMM HEAD GREENLAND Open to International candidates Head of HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) in mining oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational reliability of large equipment fleets (excavators, dumpers, dozers) to meet production targets. They plan maintenance schedules, manage teams, ensure strict safety compliance, control costs, and optimize machinery performance. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Strategy: Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for heavy equipment. Fleet Management: Maximize asset utilization and reliability while ensuring the highest maintenance standards. Safety Leadership: Promote a, "safety-first" culture, ensuring all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and standards. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage maintenance technicians, mechanics, and supervisors. Resource & Cost Control: Manage maintenance budgets, optimize spare parts inventory, and control repair costs. Diagnostic & Repairs: Lead technical diagnostics for engines, hydraulics, fuel, and electrical systems. Reporting & Analysis: Analyze equipment performance data (component life, failure analysis) to reduce downtime. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Substantial experience (typically 15-25+ years) in maintaining heavy earthmoving machinery in mining or large construction environments. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of HEMM, advanced diagnostics, team management, and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/CMMS)
