Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN HEAD MINING GREENLAND Open to International candidates leads end-to-end logistics, including strategic procurement of heavy machinery and consumables (fuel, explosives), inventory management, and inbound/outbound logistics. They optimize operational efficiency, manage vendor relationships, ensure safety/regulatory compliance, and drive cost reduction in demanding environments. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Oversee procurement of raw materials, operational supplies, and spare parts, negotiating large-scale contracts for high-value items like diesel, steel, and explosives. Logistics & Distribution: Manage warehousing, inbound logistics for site operations, and outbound logistics for transporting materials to clients or shipping points. Inventory & Demand Planning: Develop inventory management systems to ensure 24/7 site operations, minimizing downtime through accurate spares forecasting. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and contract terms. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to mining industry regulations, safety protocols, and company environmental policies. Technology & Optimization: Implement ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM) to enhance supply chain visibility, tracking, and efficiency. Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor supply chain teams to build a performance-driven culture. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration. Experience: 15–20+ years of experience in supply chain, with at least 5-10 years in mining, oil & gas, or heavy engineering sectors. Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership abilities, with expert knowledge of SAP MM or similar ERP systems. Knowledge: Expertise in inventory control, contract management, and vendor development for specialized mining equipment
