Job Description : PLANT HEAD DORTMUND GERMANY Open to International candidates *Plant Head / Operations Manager – Machine Shop Role Overview: Responsible for end-to-end operations of the Engineering Plastics Machine Shop, including CNC/VMC machining, production planning, material planning, quality, maintenance, and workforce management. The primary objective of this role is to maximize machine capacity utilization while ensuring efficient material planning, production scheduling, and OTD The role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of engineering plastics machining (PEEK, PEI, PA6, UHMWPE, PVDF, PTFE, POM, etc.) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • GD&T, CNC, VMC programming, High precision machining Capabilities. - Machine capacity utilization (%) • On-time delivery (OTD) • OEE improvement, Machine downtime reduction, Inventory turnover • Production efficiency, Material utilization / scrap reduction • Order lead time reduction Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering + Master’s in Operations / Manufacturing Management (preferred) Experience • 20 years of experience in precision machining / engineering plastics / machine shop operations • Minimum 5 years in a plant leadership role Technical Skills - PPC, MRP, Lean manufacturing • CNC/VMC machining operations • Engineering plastics machining knowledge • ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central/ SAP / Oracle / similar)
