PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Job Description : PROCUREMENT MANAGER TANZANIA is the largest manufacturer of container glass packaging in East and Central Africa. The company specializes in producing glass bottles and containers for industries such as beverages, pharmaceuticals, food, and personal care. Designation: Procurement Manager Location: Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function, including imports, local sourcing, and strategic sourcing initiatives. Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies aligned with business, production, and cost objectives. Build and strengthen procurement governance, policies, and compliance frameworks. Develop, qualify, and manage supplier base for raw materials, consumables, spares, and services in coordination with internal teams. Drive vendor development, supplier performance management, and long-term strategic partnerships. Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, renewals, and benchmarking to ensure optimal pricing and terms. Any graduate and MBA with 12+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or continuous process industries, with exposure to large spend portfolios (USD 50M+ preferred). Strong experience in import procurement, international sourcing, and logistics management. Background in glass, cement, steel, chemicals, or similar industries preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) CAPEX procurement experience are added advantages.
