Job Description : BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT HEAD ZAMBIA The Head Business Development will be responsible for developing, leading, and driving business growth in Zambia and the Southern African region. These opportunities could be in the field of renewable and thermal power and any other allied business including mining. The role should focus on expanding market presence, and driving sustainable business growth through long-term contracts, trading opportunities, and portfolio diversification. Strategy & Business Development • Define and implement comprehensive marketing and business development strategies aligned with the Companys overall business goals and growth objectives. • Relentlessly identify and evaluate new business opportunities for expansion and diversification across mining, thermal power, renewable energy, power trading and other allied business. • Formulate medium-term business plans, plans for JVs and acquisitions, pricing strategies, and market penetration plans. 2. Market Intelligence & Analysis • Continuously monitor domestic and international energy and mining markets, including generation, consumption patterns, demand–supply dynamics, and regulatory developments. • Analyse price trends, costs, merchant market behaviour, and cross-border opportunities to support informed commercial decisions. • Provide research-based insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. 3. Customer & Supplier Management • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, traders, utilities, regulators, banks and financial institutions and strategic partners. Preferred candidate profile BE/BTECH with MBA (Marketing)with exp in Business Development/ Marketing / mining , power trading , Exp in africa / southern African region /mining / power/ renewable energy , -African exp is must , Good communications skill, computer skill -
