Job Description : EXPAT COUNTRY CEO IVC a leading industrial group with large-scale manufacturing operations in Africa. Country Manager to lead its Cement operations in Ivory Coast. Responsibilities The Country Manager will have full responsibility for defining and executing the country’s strategic, operational and financial objectives. The role carries end-to-end accountability for production, commercial performance, people management, assets, safety, governance and stakeholder relations. This is a P&L leadership role with a strong operational and industrial footprint, requiring a hands-on executive capable of driving performance in a complex, large-scale manufacturing environment. Strategic Leadership & Governance Define and implement the country strategy in alignment with Group objectives. Provide overall leadership and direction for all country operations. Ensure compliance with Group policies, governance frameworks and local regulatory requirements. Represent the company with government authorities, regulators and key external stakeholders. Operations & Industrial Performance Oversee all manufacturing and production activities, ensuring optimal plant performance, safety and industrial excellence. Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, cost optimisation and asset utilisation. Ensure alignment between sales forecasts and production planning. Champion quality, health, safety and environmental standards across all operations. Financial Performance & Cost Control Lead the annual budgeting and planning process for the country. Ensure rigorous financial discipline, controls and reporting. Drive cost reduction initiatives across fixed, variable, logistics and procurement costs. Ensure sustainable profitability and long-term value creation. Commercial & Customer Orientation Support the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies. Promote a strong customer-centric culture and ensure high standards of product quality and service delivery. Monitor market dynamics to protect and strengthen the company’s competitive position. Human Capital & Organisation Development Lead, develop and motivate a senior leadership team across operations, finance, sales, logistics and support functions. Ensure effective workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development. Foster positive employee relations and a high-performance culture. Promote safety awareness and compliance across employees and contractors. Desired Skills and Experience Education • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related discipline. • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is required. Experience • Minimum of 25 years of professional experience. • At least 10 years in senior executive leadership roles managing large-scale, complex operations. • Strong background in heavy industry, manufacturing, cement or similar asset-intensive environments. Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of industrial operations and production environments. • Solid expertise in financial management, strategic planning and performance optimisation. • Proven ability to lead large, multicultural and cross-functional teams. • Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
