Job Description : CFO for a Logistics Joint Venture. Base Location: Dubai Profile Overview: The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, driving financial strategy, establishing robust financial controls, optimizing cross-border tax structures, driving EBITDA growth, capital allocation, risk management across multiple geographies, particularly within a Joint Venture environment. Key Requirements: Education: CA, CFA, CPA or equivalent. Experience: o 15+ years in finance & accounting. o 5+ years in leadership roles (CFO / Finance Director / Finance Controller/ Head of Finance). o Strong experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or 3PL industry. o Proven track record in multi-geo finance operations (Europe, Americas, India and UAE). o Experience in setting up & scaling finance function in new markets. Core Responsibilities: 1. Global Financial Strategy & Operations: • Drive global financial strategy aligned with JV & shareholder goals. • Manage cash flow, liquidity, FX risk, and funding strategy. • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. • Ensure timely financial reporting & consolidation (IFRS/Ind AS), • Support expansion via financial modeling & feasibility analysis. 2. Compliance, Tax & Governance: • Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks. • Lead global tax strategy (transfer pricing, GST/VAT). • Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. • Oversee audits, risk management, and board reporting. 3. Digital Transformation & Process Excellence: • Drive ERP-led transformation (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and advanced analytics. • Establish standardized SOPs, automated MIS, and real-time dashboards for enhanced visibility and control. 4. Performance Management & Value Creation: • Lead EBITDA improvement initiatives through margin analysis (route/customer/lane-wise) and cost optimization. • Partner with business on pricing and profitability. 5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management: • Act as strategic advisor to CEO & Board. • Manage investors, banks, auditors, and regulators. • Build and lead a high-performing global finance team. 6. M&A and Strategic Growth: • Lead financial due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration. • Ensure synergy realization and financial discipline in acquisitions and expansion initiatives. Key Skills - Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen. - Expertise in transfer pricing & global regulatory frameworks. - Financial planning, modelling & analytics. - ERP (SAP), AI/BI tools, and data-driven decision-making. - Strong global stakeholder & people management skills. - Ability to navigate uncertainty and global trade disruptions. - Global travelling required.
